Roof Repair Smedway's Flat Roof Repair crews are trained on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen systems across Rantoul, not general shingle work applied to a flat surface.
A flat roof leak rarely shows up directly above where the water actually entered — membrane systems move water laterally before it drips through.
We also test repaired seams for a proper bond before leaving, rather than assuming a visual check is enough.
Insurance documentation available before work begins on any Rantoul commercial property.
We coordinate timing to reduce impact on tenants or foot traffic wherever possible.
Membrane type and repair scope are itemized separately in every Flat Roof Repair estimate.
Hot-air welders and seam probes come standard for TPO and EPDM Flat Roof Repair work.
Most Rantoul flat roof issues combine two or three of these elements, which is why a full inspection matters.
We test repaired seams for a proper bond before considering the Flat Roof Repair job complete.
We identify the membrane type first, since EPDM and TPO repairs use different adhesive systems.
Standing water that doesn't drain within 48 hours accelerates membrane breakdown and needs a drainage fix, not just a patch.
We assess whether a modified bitumen repair needs a patch or a full section replacement.
We clear and repair drains and scuppers as part of a full Flat Roof Repair visit.
Rooftop HVAC units and their curbs are a frequent source of Rantoul commercial roof leaks that general roofers often overlook.
